Identification of Chemical Hazard
Chemical hazard mainly two types: toxic and reactive. To identify the effect of toxic of chemical hazards require an understanding of acute and chronic exposure, and the confounding the effects of latency in the expression of sign and symptom. The implementation of Global Harmonised System for classification and labelling of chemical will help to identify the chemical hazard more systematic.
Chemical Hazard can be grouped into the following areas:
Flammability – Readily burn chemical
Corrosively – Destroy tissues by chemical action
Toxicity – Poisonous chemical
Reactivity – Readily react with other chemical
